D. R. Ross of Embro explans that he has doubled the capacity of his oatmeal mills and refitted them with new machinery in order to increase trade and enlarge the number of customers. In 1886 he made three kinds of oatmeal; medium, granulated and rolled. Not to mention kiln dried cornmeal and cracked wheat. His products shipped from Beachville, Oxford County on the GTR and CPR as far as the Maritimes. By 1892, Ross can boast "It is the constant aim of the proprietor of the Embro Mills to have the best Oatmeal made in Canada." Circulars were sent to merchants, flour millers and other dealers.
